The U.S. Secret Service confirms awareness of Iranian state media video threatening the life of Barron Trump
The U.S. Secret Service has confirmed it is aware of a video broadcast by Iranian state media that appears to threaten the life of Barron Trump, the 20-year-old youngest son of President Donald Trump. The three-minute clip, titled "Where and how should we kill Barron Trump?", claims that the presidential son is under constant surveillance and suggests a $10 million bounty has been placed on his head. Secret Service spokesperson Nate Herring stated that the agency is investigating all perceived threats to their protectees while maintaining operational security. The video follows a series of Iranian threats against the Trump family, which intensified following the U.S. assassination of Iran's Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the 2020 airstrike that killed Iranian General Qasem Soleimani. President Donald Trump has previously warned that any attempt to assassinate him or his family will be met with a severe U.S. response. Meanwhile, the administration has imposed significant financial sanctions on Iran to restrict its oil revenues and maintain pressure on the regime.
