Israeli military destroys Hezbollah underground complex at Ali Taher Ridge

The infrastructure included a command center for Hezbollah's Badr unit, weapons storage rooms, and living quarters. It also contained dozens of rockets, missiles, drones, and anti-tank weapons. Israeli forces established operational control over the ridge before dismantling the infrastructure. The blast triggered seismic activity equivalent to a magnitude 4.1 earthquake, with tremors felt in the coastal city of Saida and the city of Nabatieh. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Israel Katz stated that Israeli forces would remain in the area to prevent Hezbollah from rebuilding its capabilities. The destruction of the complex completed a mission to destroy eight tunnels and establish a security zone. The action occurred despite a ceasefire agreed in June, as Israel continues to hold a buffer zone in southern Lebanon.
