Vice Admiral Jan Christian Kaack oversees successful German Navy test of Israeli LORA ballistic missile

The German Navy successfully demonstrated the launch of the Israel Aerospace Industries LORA ballistic missile from an F125 frigate. The test took place in the North Atlantic as part of the Bundeswehr's operational experimentation program. At least two missiles were fired from canisters positioned on the frigate's flight deck, following planned trajectories to hit targets with high precision. Vice Admiral Jan Christian Kaack described the event as making naval history and stated that the missile's potential range exceeds anything seen before. He noted that the test marks a new chapter in deterrence and defense readiness at sea for Germany and its allies. Israel Aerospace Industries confirmed the results, with Chairman Boaz Levy stating that the trial demonstrates Israel's technological strength and the unique cooperation between Germany and Israel. IAI CEO Guy Bar Lev also expressed pride in the strategic cooperation between the two countries. The LORA missile follows a quasi-ballistic trajectory and has an officially stated range of approximately 60 to 270 miles.
