Sergei Aksyonov Reports Fatalities and Infrastructure Damage Following Ukrainian Strikes on Occupied Crimea
Sergei Aksyonov, the Kremlin-appointed head of Crimea, reported that three people, including a child, were wounded in a fatal attack on the peninsula's Simferopol district. The strikes occurred as part of a broader Ukrainian offensive that has caused significant logistical and infrastructure damage across the region. In addition to the casualties, local authorities noted that two of Crimea's five largest warehouse complexes, including the Wildberries sorting center in Simferopol and the PUD distribution center in Chystenke, have been put out of operation. Residents across the peninsula are facing severe challenges, including frequent power outages, rising prices for staple goods, and a fuel crisis. Many locals are adapting by using personal generators and seeking ways to survive the ongoing shelling. The administration announced that the Ukrainian attacks have also impacted the Perm region in Russia, where air defense systems downed 16 drones. These strikes highlight the systematic destruction of Russia's rear logistics infrastructure as the conflict continues to intensify.
