JetBlue Unveils New BlueFirst Domestic First Class Product for Non-Mint Fleet

BlueFirst features a conventional 2-2 domestic first class recliner with up to 37 inches of pitch and five inches of recline. The seats were developed in partnership with Tuft & Needle to incorporate T&N Flex foam. Passengers on overnight flights will receive a blanket and snooze kit. For flights of 899 miles or longer, JetBlue will provide FirstFare, a meal service served in a custom bento-inspired box. Because the aircraft will not be retrofitted with ovens, the meals will be served cold. The service includes sommelier-selected wines, coffee from Joe Coffee, and tea from Smith Teamaker, served in Fable glassware. Passengers can also use seatback screens to select spirits, mixers, and flavorings for a custom cocktail order via "Mixologist Mode." As BlueFirst is installed, standard economy pitch is expected to shrink from 32 inches to 30 inches on some aircraft, and some planes will lose extra-legroom EvenMore seating.
