Jurors in the high-profile Massachusetts murder trial of Lindsay Clancy asked Judge William Sullivan to view empty pill bottles and a knife found on a nightstand during deliberations on Friday, Aug. 28. The request followed less than five hours of deliberation by a jury of 12, who are weighing whether the 36-year-old is guilty of the January 2023 strangulation deaths of her three children. Lindsay Clancy has pleaded not guilty to three counts of murder. Prosecutors allege she planned the killings by sending her husband to pick up food while she strangled the children with exercise bands. Following the killings, Clancy cut her wrists and neck before jumping out of a second-story window, which left her paralyzed. Defense attorney Kevin Reddington argues that Lindsay Clancy lacks criminal responsibility due to postpartum depression and psychosis. The jury heard weeks of testimony from over 80 witnesses before beginning deliberations on Thursday, Aug. 27.
