Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and Clara Brugada Molina Inspect New Cablebús Line 4 Construction in Mexico City
President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and Mexico City Head of Government Clara Brugada Molina inspected the construction of Cablebús Line 4, a project designed to improve transportation for residents in the high-altitude zones of Tlalpan. The new 11.4-kilometer line will connect these remote areas to Metro Universidad, reducing average travel times by 50 percent, from two hours to approximately 40 minutes. The project involves a federal investment of 4.7 billion pesos and features nine stations, over 70 poles, and nearly 400 cabins. Each cabin will accommodate 10 passengers and include amenities such as Wi-Fi, solar-powered lighting, and closed-circuit cameras. The administration announced that the line is expected to be completed by December 2027. Clara Brugada Molina emphasized that the project provides 'territorial justice' by benefiting those who live farthest from the city center. Currently, construction is underway on eight of the nine stations, with technical studies nearly complete. The line will also incorporate public spaces and green areas around the stations.
