Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo Announces 6.5 Billion Peso Investment to Reactivate Cruz Azul Cooperative in Hidalgo
President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and Governor Julio Menchaca announced a 6.5 billion peso investment to reactivate the Cruz Azul cooperative in Hidalgo. The project aims to produce 3 million tons of cement annually, creating 14,200 direct and indirect jobs. The investment will also include the renovation of Cruz Azul hospitals, with over one billion dollars allocated for new operating rooms. Additionally, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo addressed the confrontation between the PRI and the National Electoral Institute, urging for rationality and dialogue. She also highlighted the development of the Polo de Desarrollo in ZapotlƔn, a major industrial park and a secretarial project involving pharmaceutical industries and a hospital project worth over 1,000 million dollars. Regarding international relations, the Secretariat of Foreign Relations reported on 20 complaints filed with U.S. authorities concerning 17 Mexican nationals who were allegedly killed by ICE during operations or while under custody. The Florida prosecutor confirmed one of these deaths was a suicide.
