A burglary suspect was arrested after a reckless pursuit through the San Fernando Valley ended in a head-on collision.

A burglary suspect, whose name has not yet been released, was arrested Friday morning after leading the Los Angeles Police Department on a prolonged and erratic pursuit through the San Fernando Valley. The chase began around 10:15 a.m. near Oxnard and Lankershim, with the suspect driving a black 2025 Honda Accord. The pursuit featured several unusual moments, including the suspect stopping to pump gas at an Arco station, navigating through a parking structure at Cal State Northridge, and even being engaged by a motorcycle rider who attempted to open the car door. The suspect eventually traveled the wrong way on the 405 Freeway, nearly hitting several vehicles. After being T-boned by an innocent driver in Granada Hills and navigating a spike strip, the suspect finally crashed head-on into a California Highway Patrol SUV. The driver attempted to flee on foot but was quickly tackled by officers and taken into custody. Details regarding the alleged burglary remain to be determined.
