Ariadna Montiel and Morena Leadership Finalize State Coordinators for 2027 Governorships
The Morena party leadership, led by Ariadna Montiel, is finalizing the selection of state coordinators to define candidates for the 2027 governorships. The national direction approved a call for district electoral elections for federal deputies, allowing current legislators to begin the process for re-election. Citlalli Hernández, president of the National Electoral Commission of Morena, stated that the party is confident in its ability to succeed in the internal process. She noted that the movement is active and supported by people rather than bots. Jesú Selván García, the state leader of Morena, indicated that the Election Committee will launch a call for district coordinators on September 20. He stated that there is no set date for his leadership transition, though he expressed interest in competing for the fifth Federal District. Meanwhile, PAN leader Jorge Romero emphasized that the national direction must listen to local directorates and militancies to understand local realities when defining alliances for 2027.
