Mayor Carlos Fernando Galán coordinates extensive aid and medical resources to support Colombia's earthquake-stricken regions.

Bogotá has deployed significant resources to assist regions impacted by the 7.4 magnitude earthquake. Mayor Carlos Fernando Galán announced that the city has transported 1,574 tons of aid, including food, hygiene kits, and non-perishable items. The administration provided technical support through 45 engineers and 18 Acueducto officials to evaluate structures and water networks in municipalities such as Chocó, Pereira, and Buenaventura. To address medical shortages, the Departmental Health Secretariat initiated the transfer of two trucks filled with medications and vital sign monitors to various affected zones. Secretary Gerson Bermont noted that a mobile hospital with a capacity of 40 beds was established to be sent to Armenia. Additionally, 900 units of blood and ten debris collection vehicles were sent to Cali. Mayor Carlos Fernando Galán emphasized that the city's solidarity is central to the reconstruction efforts, supported by the Colombian Red Cross and the Ministry of Health.
