Patrick Clancy threatens legal action over social media claims of his involvement in his children's deaths

Patrick Clancy is seeking legal action against social media users and influencers who have suggested he played a role in the deaths of his three children. Following the mistrial of his ex-wife, Lindsay Clancy, who admitted to strangling the children, a wave of speculation has emerged regarding Patrick Clancy's potential involvement. Attorney Howard Cooper stated that Patrick Clancy and his family have been subjected to a "relentless, escalating and destructive defamation campaign." The campaign, promoted by celebrities and conspiracy theorists, has resulted in real-life threats to Patrick Clancy's reputation and livelihood. Cooper noted that law enforcement has been notified of the misinformation. During the trial, Patrick Clancy testified that Lindsay Clancy killed the children while he was out picking up dinner. The jury remained deadlocked for seven days, leading the judge to declare a mistrial. The case is scheduled to return to court on Sept. 29 to determine the next steps. While Lindsay Clancy's defense argued she suffered from postpartum psychosis, the prosecution maintained she was criminally responsible for the deaths of Cora, Dawson, and Callan Clancy.
