Civil Protection authorities in Ciudad Ju谩rez issued a preventive alert for residents due to heavy rainfall and potential flooding. The State Coordination for Civil Protection issued the alert because of a forecast of precipitation, strong winds, and electrical storms. These conditions increased the risk of water accumulation in streets and avenues, leading officials to urge the population to stay indoors unless necessary to prevent accidents. Overnight rainfall caused flooding in private homes, power cuts, and the collapse of public infrastructure, including posts knocked down by wind gusts. Road Security authorities reported that several roadways are experiencing water accumulation, posing a risks for motorists and pedestrians. Authorities recommended that people avoid crossing flooded streets and reduce their speed while traveling. Specific road closures were reported, including the intersections of Viaducto and Alvaro Obreg贸n, Viaducto and Bulevar Bernardo Norzagaray, Insurgentes and Ram贸n Corona, and Gardenias and Francisco Villa.
