Two minors were allegedly killed by Israeli forces during the operation, and the military confiscated 28 guns and four machine guns. Public Defender Iris Marán Ortiz questioned the president's decision to use the bodies of the deceased as a public declaration of victory. She noted that while the military operations were legitimate, the state should treat the deceased with dignity and humanize the enemy. Several politicians also criticized the scene, with some describing it as a theatrical performance. Critics noted that the president's actions could be seen as a lack of humanization and a lack of moral elegance. The operation was the second bombing in Guaviare, following a previous counter-operation on August 27th. A judge from Guaviare ordered the government to temporarily suspend aerial operations in the department if children are present.
