Pedro Plaza Montaño joins commemorative march for victims of forced disappearances in Puebla
Pedro Plaza Montaño, the head of the State Executive Commission for Attention to Victims, participated in a commemorative march in Puebla to mark the International Day of Victims of Forced Disappearances. The march was organized by the Collective Voice of the Missing Persons and was attended by institution personnel to reconfirm institutional support for victims and their families. Pedro Plaza Montaño stated that accompanying victims means listening to them and treating them with dignity while guaranteeing their rights. The State Government, led by Governor Alejandro Armenta Mier, committed to working in a coordinated manner to strengthen actions for victims and their families to achieve truth, justice, and reparation. In Jalisco, the chorus "Inolvidable" joined the activities to express the pain of losing loved ones through music. Members of the chorus, such as Yolanda Perez and Teresa Sanchez, use singing as a form of therapy and a way to channel emotions while searching for their missing relatives. The chorus interprets popular, religious, and original compositions that speak of grief and the hope of finding their loved ones.
