Tyronne Brazille is arrested in Tennessee after driving 400 miles with his deceased wife in the passenger seat.

Tyronne Brazille, 50, was arrested in Memphis, Tennessee, after police discovered his wife, Lanessa Bradford, 50, deceased in the passenger seat of his vehicle. Authorities allege that Brazille shot Bradford during a verbal argument at Independence Community Park in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Instead of immediately contacting law enforcement, Brazille drove the body of Bradford for approximately five hours, traveling nearly 400 miles through Mississippi before being pulled over for a traffic violation in Memphis. Bradford was an elementary school employee who had recently informed Brazille of her plans to leave him. According to longtime friend Shelicka Decker, Bradford had saved money to eventually move away from Brazille, who reportedly suffered from mental health issues. Brazille now faces a count of second-degree murder in Louisiana and is awaiting extradition to Baton Rouge. The arrest highlights a significant public health concern in Louisiana, where the rate of women murdered by men is historically higher than the national average.
