Mexican Navy ships ARM Papaloapan and ARM Huasteco delivered over 700 tons of humanitarian aid to earthquake-stricken communities in Venezuela.
The Mexican Navy ships ARM Papaloapan and ARM Huasteco delivered 718.54 tons of humanitarian aid to the port of La Guaira, Venezuela, to support communities affected by recent earthquakes. The shipment included food, bottled water, and medical supplies, totaling 2,585 cubic meters of aid. During the operation, 100 members of the Navy's Emergency Response Brigades assisted Venezuelan authorities in organizing and distributing the supplies. Additionally, Navy water purification plants purified over 259,700 liters of water, benefiting 8,867 families. This delivery marks a significant contribution to the maritime bridges established between the two countries in July and August. The operation was conducted in collaboration with various institutions, and companies, and civil society organizations to integrate the supplies. This deployment represents one of the largest overseas missions for the Mexican Armed Forces during the current six-year term.
