Jose Mart贸n Cortes Predicts Intense Rainfall and Extreme Heat Across Mexico

Jose Mart贸n Cortes predicts that Mexico will experience a period of intense, punctual rainfall across all 32 states this week. The National Meteorological Service (SMN) reports that tropical waves 28 and 29, combined with the Mexican monsoon, will drive these precipitations, which may be accompanied by electric discharges and hail. While the south and southeast regions face heavy rain, the northern and northwestern regions will experience a significant temperature contrast, with temperatures reaching up to 53掳C in areas like Mexicali and San Luis R铆o Colorado. For the agricultural sector, the weather patterns present both opportunities and more challenges. Heavy rains in Sinaloa and Nayarit may affect shrimp farming and mango orchards, while intense heat in the north continues to produce water deficits for cotton crops. Producers are advised to monitor oxygen levels in shrimp ponds and adjust feeding schedules in pig farms to mitigate the effects of the extreme heat. The National Civil Protection Commission (CNPC) has called for the population to take precautions due to the heavy rain, especially in the northern parts of the country.
