Danny Thomas leads Patriot Platform activists in anti-migrant protests across Dover and Portsmouth
Danny Thomas, the leader of the Patriot Platform, organized a series of anti-migrant protests over the weekend. On Saturday, a group of masked men in black clothing and balaclavas blocked the main roads leading into and out of the port of Dover. The protesters chanted "stop the boats" and "England till I die" while causing a four-mile traffic jam. Kent Police described the action as a spontaneous protest, though local officials questioned the lack of advance warning for the coordinated event. On Sunday, Thomas mobilized supporters via social media to gather in Portsmouth after a boatful of migrants was brought ashore at the Eastney landing stage. The government condemned the behavior of the rioters in Portsmouth as intimidating and thuggish. Thomas, a long-term campaigner and former prisoner, seeks to create a disciplined movement focused on Christian values and protecting British citizens. He has previously been a close associate of activist Stephen Yaxley-Lennon. The Patriot Platform aims to provide a message of mass resistance to the country through organized, and non-violent, visual protests.
