Philadelphia Police Issue Arrest Warrant for Zymire Hughes After Masked Man Terrorized City Hall Area

Philadelphia police have issued an arrest warrant for 22-year-old Zymire Hughes, who is accused of harassing and chasing several residents near City Hall last week. Hughes allegedly wore a distinctive Chucky-style Halloween mask and a blue plaid backpack while filming his interactions with the public. During a 15-minute span in the early morning hours, he reportedly attempted to scaring or antagonizing at least six people, including a female jogger whom he allegedly asked, "Are you ready to die?" Capt. Jason Smith of the Philadelphia Police Department stated that the suspect was not armed and may have fled Pennsylvania, as he has ties to California and Nevada. The suspect faces potential charges of terroristic threats, harassment, and simple assault. While some residents found the incident humorous, officials emphasized that the behavior was not a laughing matter and are working with the U.S. Marshals Service to locate him. One victim, Jameka Wilson, confronted the man and successfully kicked him in the chest to escape. Police are urging the public to be on the lookout for Hughes and are requesting any information regarding his whereabouts.
