Village Super Market Inc. is developing a new ShopRite supermarket in Galloway Township, which will be the largest in Atlantic County. The new store will span approximately 86,000 square feet, making it more than 50% larger than the current 57,000-square-foot location that has served the community since 2007. Construction is currently underway on the 15-acre site, which includes plans for over 500 parking spaces and infrastructure improvements such as a new traffic signal and roadway widening. The new supermarket is expected to offer expanded departments for produce, meat, seafood, and bakery items, along with sushi stations and organic products. Village Super Market Inc. will soon launch a community survey to gather feedback from local residents to inform the development process. The older supermarket is expected to close once the new store opens, which is projected for late 2026 or early 2027.
