Mexican content creator Jose Luis Esparza was murdered by a gunman in Ciudad Obregón.

Jose Luis Esparza, a 37-year-old content creator known as "El Piturris," was murdered on Thursday in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, Mexico. The victim was working at his taqueria, "Los Güichos," located in the Reforma colony when he was attacked by a gunman. Security forces arrived at the scene near the intersection of Chihuahua and Sebastián Lerdo de Tejada streets after reports of shots being fired. The perpetrator allegedly shot Esparza directly and then fled the scene on a motorcycle with another companion. Authorities from the Sonora State Justice Department collected two .40 caliber bullet casings from the site as evidence. The investigation remains open as officials wait for necropsy results and ballistic analysis to determine the circumstances of the murder and any potential connections to other cases.
