Jonathan Meléndez Ochoa was murdered by his business partner in a multihomicide that also claimed the lives of his wife, daughter, and nanny.

Authorities in the State of Mexico detained two men, Diego Sebastián 'N' and Gerardo 'N', following a multihomicide in a residential apartment in Atizapán de Zaragoza. The victims included Jonathan Meléndez Ochoa, a 38-year-old keyboardist for the indie rock band Camilo Séptimo, his 35-year-old pregnant wife, their three-year-old daughter, and a 21-year-old nanny. Diego Sebastián 'N' is suspected of being the primary author of the crime, having entered the home as a trusted business partner. Investigations suggest an economic dispute between the two men served as a motive. Before the meeting, Jonathan Meléndez Ochoa told a friend to notify the authorities if he failed to answer by nightfall. The victims were discovered by municipal police around 11:50 p.m. on Tuesday. A six-year-old boy, the son of Jonathan Meléndez Ochoa, survived the incident by hiding under a bed. The police operation, coordinated between multiple security departments, resulted in the detention of both suspects in less than 12 hours.
