Mike Lindell to Personally Fund Full Recount of Minnesota Gubernatorial Republican Primary

Mike Lindell, the founder of MyPillow, announced that he will personally fund a full hand recount and audit of every paper ballot cast in the Minnesota gubernatorial Republican primary. Despite losing the race to state House Speaker Lisa Demuth by approximately 11 percentage points, Lindell intends to use his legal right as a candidate to audit the results. The Minnesota Secretary of State's office estimated the cost of the recount at $825,000, though Lindell expects the total expenditure to reach upwards of $1 million due to his own team of investigators. Lindell, who was endorsed by Trump, claims his team has already identified several irregularities in the election data. He believes this audit will serve as a gateway to eventually eliminating electronic voting machines across the country. While the state does not automatically fund a recount for such a wide margin of victory, Lindell is prepared to pay the costs to ensure every vote is counted. He plans to submit the official request and necessary funding by the Monday deadline.
