Mike Minogue wins Republican primary for Massachusetts governor
Mike Minogue won the Republican primary for governor of Massachusetts, securing 79.7% of the vote over challenger Brian Shortsleeve, who received 29.4% of the vote. Minogue, a former CEO of medical device maker Abiomed, is a first-time political candidate and a self-made billionaire. Governor Maura Healey, who ran unopposed for the Democratic renomination, will face Minogue in the November general election.
