Lindsay Clancy faces murder charges as defense argues postpartum psychosis led to the strangulation of her three children

Lindsay Clancy is currently on trial for three counts of first-degree murder after she allegedly strangled her three children—Cora, Dawson, and Callan—using fitness bands in their Massachusetts home in January 2023. While the prosecution argues that Clancy made a calculated decision to kill her children, the defense maintains that she was suffering from postpartum psychosis and bipolar disorder, which may exempt her from criminal responsibility. During the trial, witnesses provided graphic testimony regarding the deaths. Susan Clancy, the former mother-in-law of the defendant, testified that Lindsay Clancy was a nurturing mother who was begging for help due to deteriorating mental health.
