Britax recalls over 114,000 child car seats due to a loose screw in the carrying handle.

Britax is recalling more than 114,000 child car seats because a screw in the carrying handle may come loose, causing the handle to partially detach. The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration reported that this defect could cause a child to fall, increasing the risk of injury. The recall includes several models, such as the B-Safe Gen 2 and Endeavours, which were last manufactured on May 16, 2023. Britax stated that while there have been no reports of serious injuries, the company is taking action out of an abundance of caution. Owners of the affected seats are advised to carry or lift the seats by the shell until a remedy kit is developed. Impacted owners will receive official recall notices by mail on October 19.
