Senator Nora Ruvalcaba has been appointed as the coordinator for the Defense of the Transformation and National Sovereignty in Aguascalientes for the 2027 midterm elections. This designation makes her the virtual candidate for the governorship of Aguascalientes for the alliance of the Fourth Transformation, which includes Morena, PVEM, and PT. Nora Ruvalcaba is a lawyer and master's degree holder who has served as a deputy secretary of High School Education at the Secretariat of Public Education. She is currently on her fourth attempt to win the governorship of Aguascalcaba, having previously run as a candidate for the PRD and Morena. The senator called for unity within the party and asked for a next year's triumph. She stated that if she wins, the governorship will be the last rung of her political life, as she plans to retire to spend time with her children and grandchildren.
