Miguel Hernández López, a member of the Tlalnepantla Municipal Directorate of Civil Protection, Firefighting and Integral Risk Management, died while responding to a large fire at an industrial company on Tenayuca Street in the Centro Industrial Tlalnepantla colony. The fire originated in fuel pipes containing diesel and affected the Mexicana Fabrication and Intelligent Card Manufacturing and Plastics company. Juan Manuel Pérez Cova, director general of the capital's firefighters, reported that three firefighters from the capital were deployed from three stations to support the local teams. The fire resulted in at least three people with burns and one person with carbon monoxide poisoning. Emergency services from Tlalnepantla, Naucalpan, and Ecatepec, and the City of Mexico, coordinated to control the flames. The rapid intervention of the protection civil direction of the municipality saved 12 other tanker trucks with diesel and gasoline from being affected by the conflagration. After the fire was extinguished, teams continued to work on cooling and debris removal.
