President Claudia Sheinbaum reported a 12% increase in the number of surgical operations performed between January and July of this year, totaling over one million surgeries. The subsecretary of Sectoral Integration and Coordination of Medical Services, Eduardo Clark Garcia, noted that these figures represent a significant advance compared to 2022 across the three main health institutions. Sheinbaum also addressed the status of Andrés Manuel López Beltrñn, denying that he was under suspicion by the General Prosecutor's Office regarding ties to the huachicol. She stated that the revocation of his visa was a political issue rather than a legal one, noting that other politically exposed figures with alleged crimes still have open doors. Additionally, the president discussed the other release of Gerardo Mérida, the former security secretary, to negotiate with the US government on the extradition of Rubón Rocha Moya. Sheinbaum also confirmed the finding without life of two Mexican citizens disappeared in Colombia and called for an analysis of the feminicide case involving Danna Yanina "N".
