District Attorney Larry Krasner Issued an Arrest Warrant for Zymire Hughes After He Terrorized Pedestrians in a Chucky Mask

District Attorney Larry Krasner announced that an arrest warrant has been issued for 22-year-old Zymire Hughes, who gained national attention for harassing pedestrians in Center City Philadelphia. The suspect, wearing a Chucky-style horror mask, allegedly harassed around 16 people between 5:00 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. on August 12. During the incidents, Hughes approached pedestrians and asked one woman if she was "ready to die" while chasing her near City Hall. Although he did not produce a weapon, his behavior caused significant alarm, including a 40-year-old woman who was severely injured after falling while fleeing from him. Investigators believe Hughes may have already fled Pennsylvania for Los Angeles or Las Vegas. Krasner noted that Hughes is currently on probation and his behavior was a violation of his conditions. The district attorney urged those harassed by Hughes to come forward as authorities continue to work to apprehend him.
