In a separate military update, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited military positions on Mount Hermon in Syria on Wednesday. Accompanied by Israel Katz, Netanyahu declared that Israel would prevent any hostile armed force from establishing itself near the border. Netanyahu described the current control over the territory from Mount Hermon to the Yarmouk River as a major achievement of the War of Rebirth. He identified Iran as the central force behind the regional network opposed to Israel and stated the government is committed to the defeat of the Iranian regime.
