Sixteen people were injured after a coach carrying German high-school students collided with a delivery van in the eastern Netherlands. The accident occurred on the A28 highway near Wezep, east of Amsterdam, at approximately 4:20 local time on Monday. Dutch police reported that eight people, including the van driver, were seriously hurt, while the remaining eight suffered minor injuries. All individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care. The coach was transporting over 50 students and four teachers from a school in Schönberg, Germany, to Paris. The vehicle collided with a delivery van, crashed through a guardrail, and overturned onto its side. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident. The A28 highway remains closed in both directions as of the report.
