Lexus NX Compact Crossover Receives Mid-Cycle Refresh for 2027 Model Year
Lexus has debuted the updated Lexus NX compact crossover for the 2027 model year, featuring a mid-cycle refresh that introduces a 100% electrified lineup. The new model will offer a choice of Hybrid or Plug-in Hybrid grades, incorporating the brand's sixth-generation hybrid system. Significant updates include a redesigned interior with a 14-inch infotainment display, a new dashboard, and a revised instrument panel. The exterior features a redesigned front fascia with a frameless spindle grille and a repeated L-motif taillight layout. The NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid variant sees a battery capacity increase from 18.1 to 23.0 kilowatt hours, extending the all-electric range to 62 miles. Engineers improved structural rigidity across the vehicle, including a 30 percent increase in front pillar rigidity and a 25 percent increase in floor rigidity. These changes, along with a new engine block shape, aim to reduce noise and vibration by approximately 20 percent. The updated NX will be available in Europe in early spring 2027.
