Higinio Martínez Miranda is elected as the president of the Senate's board of directors for the next legislative year.

Higinio Martínez Miranda was elected almost unanimously as the president of the Senate's board of directors for the upcoming legislative year. During the final vote, 116 out of 117 present legislators voted in favor of the morenista senator from the State of Mexico. Martínez Miranda promised to conduct the chamber's work with impartiality, objectivity, and absolute respect for the voices of the 128 members. He committed to guaranteeing freedom of expression for all legislators, stating that while each member will be responsible for their own words, he will ask for a minimum of consideration and adherence to the law. During the installation session, Martínez Miranda was accompanied by family and several mayors from the State of Mexico. He recognized Heberto Castillo, with whom he began his public life in politics. His predecessor, Laura Itzel Castillo, also took her seat in the board of directors, receiving applause from colleagues across various parties. The session also saw the return of Enrique Inzunza Cázarez, who sat in his previous seat despite having left the Morena party.
