This cooperation has intensified recently, with Pyongyang and Moscow have grown closer since the reclusive state began deploying troops and weapons to support Russia's war against Ukraine. This marks the Pyongyang's most significant involvement in a war outside of the 1950s. This visit to the Liberation Tower was joined by Kim Jong Un's wife and daughter. While South Korean President Lee Jae Myung called for talks to establish a peace regime and end the conflict, Pyongyang has rejected these overtures and criticized U.S.-South Korean military exercises as provocations.
