Princess Astrid of Norway died at the age of 94 on Friday, just two days after attending the funeral of her younger brother, King Harald V. The royal palace announced the death of the princess, who was the last surviving child of King Olav V. He noted that she was particularly concerned with care and inclusion for the most vulnerable in society. Princess Astrid's health had declined in recent months, and she received hospital treatment for pneumonia in March. Her last public appearance was at the funeral of King Harald V, where she was seen in a wheelchair and thanked her brother for everything they shared. The new king ordered that flags will be flown at half-mast across Norway to commemorate the princess. She will be buried at state expense.
