The report identifies critical gaps in human rights, including structural inequality, persistent exclusion, and environmental degradation. Key findings highlight that while poverty and food insecurity have improved in municipal capitals, rural areas continue to face significant challenges. The report also notes that health coverage remains ineffective, with over 2 million complaints recorded in 2025. Furthermore, Iris MarĂ­n Ortiz emphasized the need to prioritize mental health for children and youth, following 1,080 suspected suicides in the 5-28 age group in 2025. The document also addresses armed violence, noting 651 massacres since 2019 and 1,002 mass displacements. It warns of increasing deforestation in the Amazon and the risks posed by illegal mining. Finally, the report underscores the risks faced by human rights defenders and journalists, noting 1,743 deaths of leaders since 2016.
