The Colombian Geological Service reported a magnitude 4.3 earthquake occurring at 12:17 a.m. on Thursday, September 3rd. The seismic activity was centered in Istmina, Choc贸, at a depth of 43 kilometers. This event was recorded as the strongest movement during the first hours of the day in the region. Legislators from Quind铆o participated in a bicameral commission to monitor the recovery and reconstruction of areas affected by a previous earthquake on August 10th. Miguel 脕ngel Grisales Su谩rez requested immediate, temporary, and dignified housing for those affected, while also proposing the inclusion of the hospital network, educational institutions, and roads in the comprehensive recovery plan. Jes煤 Bedoya stated that the region needs a solidarity movement to highlight the families without roofs and the affected schools and communities.
