An 18-year-old man killed one person and wounded two others during a sword attack at a Swedish high school.

An 18-year-old man armed with a sword attacked the Brinell School in Fagersta, Sweden, on Friday, leaving one person dead and at least two others injured. Police Chief Tommy Alriksson confirmed that the suspect was arrested after officers fired shots during the confrontation. The two injured individuals, both boys between the ages of 12 and 17, were transported to the hospital for treatment. Authorities placed several nearby schools and public buildings under lockdown as a precaution while police conducted a thorough investigation. Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson described the incident as a serious event occurring shortly after the summer break, noting that the police are working intensively to determine the motive.
