Denise Dresser departs OpenAI as Chief Revenue Officer as the company appoints Dali Rajic to lead its global revenue organization

OpenAI announced the departure of Denise Dresser as Chief Revenue Officer, who joined the company in December to lead its enterprise unit. Dresser left the company after eight months, following a sudden exit by operating chief Brad Lightcap, who had been with the company since 2018. To fill the vacancy, the administration announced the appointment of Dali Rajic, the former president and COO of Wiz, as the new Chief Revenue Officer. President Greg Brockman stated that Dresser led the revenue group through a formative period, establishing a commercial foundation for the company's enterprise business, which now serves over two million customers. Despite the leadership shakeup, the company reported a 20% month-over-month revenue increase in July, with business customers growing by 32%. The transition comes as OpenAI prepares for a future initial public offering and faces increasing competition from rivals like Anthropic and Google. While some analysts view the executive turnover as a red flag for the company's stability, the administration announced that Rajic will focus on turning the company's learned insights into repeatable execution to scale the global revenue organization.
