Oracle Corporation reported strong first-quarter fiscal year 2027 results, with total quarterly revenue growing 30% to $19.3 billion, exceeding analyst expectations. Adjusted earnings per share rose 30% to $1.92, surpassing the $1.75 expected by market analysts. A significant portion of this growth was driven by cloud infrastructure sales, which jumped 121% to $7.4 billion, while cloud revenue overall soared 62% to $11.61 billion. The company reported a net income of $4.68 billion, up from $2.93 billion in the previous year. Capital expenditures increased significantly to $28.50 billion from $8.50 billion a year ago. Oracle Corporation also reported that its remaining performance obligations stood at $664 billion, which is higher than the consensus estimate of $630.6 billion. During the quarter, the company booked more than $30 billion of additional AI cloud contracts without requiring additional capital. Oracle Corporation also announced AI agents for human resources teams and secured a Pentagon contract worth up to $7 billion over to a decade.
