Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream Recalls Select Outshine Fruit Bars Due to Possible Glass Contamination

Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, Inc. has issued a voluntary recall on several varieties of Outshine fruit bars sold nationwide. The recall was prompted by consumer reports of glass fragments found within the frozen desserts. While no illnesses or injuries have been reported to date, the company is taking action out of an abundance of caution to ensure product integrity. The affected products include six-count packages of strawberry, watermelon, grape, tangerine, and black cherry flavors, as well as 24-count variety packs. Consumers are urged to check the UPC, batch code, and best-before dates on the packaging to determine if their products are included. Those with affected items should dispose of them or return them to the original place of purchase for a full refund. The company stated that no other Outshine products are impacted by this recall.
