Omar al-Nassan and Khalil Abu Alia were killed by Israeli forces during a confrontation in the Palestinian village of al-Mughayyir. The incident occurred as Israeli soldiers and settlers entered the village to retrieve livestock belonging to Israeli citizens. Palestinians resisted the seizure of the sheep by throwing stones and cinder blocks, leading the military to fire on the key instigators of the disturbance. The Israeli military stated that the deaths were identified hits intended to remove the threat. The village council reported that the two teenagers were killed while trying to stop the settlers from stealing the sheep. In a separate development, Israeli forces demolished the village of Khirbet al-Tabban in the Masafer Yatta area. The demolition affected 70 residents, including 28 children, who were given no warning and were not allowed to remove their property. The Israeli military agency Cogat stated that the demolition was enforcement activity against illegal construction in a military training zone. B'Tselem, a human rights group, described the this as the 66th Palestinian community expelled since October 2023.
