Matt Bradley and his NBC News team were attacked by masked Israeli settlers while interviewing a Palestinian woman in the West Bank on Saturday. The news crew was interviewing Aida Ahmed Abdullah, a 51-year-old woman who had been driven from her home by settlers. During the interview, a car with an Israeli license plate reversed up a hill toward the team, and at least four men with covered faces jumped out and hit the team with sticks and rocks. Matt Bradley was hit twice in the arms and received medical treatment at a nearby clinic. Aida Ahmed Abdullah was also taken for medical care by the Red Crescent and was rendered unconscious by the settlers. Lawahez Jabari and Khaldoon Eid were also among the team members who received treatment for injuries. Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the violence, describing the victims as a handful of rioters who violated the law. The US State Department issued a statement condemning the criminal violence and calling for investigations and arrests. The administration announced that it is monitoring the situation in the West Bank.
