A 29-year-old man from Lansdowne died after being struck by a car and a tractor-trailer in East Norriton Township.
A 29-year-old man from Lansdowne died after being struck by a car and a tractor-trailer in East Norriton Township on Sunday night. The incident occurred at approximately 9:10 p.m. at the intersection of West Germantown Pike and Whitehall Road. Police reported that the man was in the roadway when he was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on West Germantown Pike. He was subsequently hit by a tractor-trailer. The man was found with significant, life-threatening injuries and was transported to Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Investigators are currently examining whether alcohol impairment was a contributing factor in the crash. No arrests have been made and the name of the man has not yet been released by police.
