Benjamin Azariah Southworth Arrested for Allegedly Threatening to Kill President Trump
Benjamin Azariah Southworth was arrested on Thursday in Los Angeles and charged with threats against the president, cyberstalking, and harassing telephone calls in interstate communications. The 40-year-old podcaster and former TV host used various social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, to publicly express his hatred toward President Trump and his supporters between January and May 2026. Prosecutors allege that Southworth repeatedly called for the execution of President Trump and championed his assassination. In one instance, he posted a video depicting himself teleporting into the White House Oval Office to raise a knife to the president's head. He also allegedly harassed the president's personal lawyer, Jay Sekulow, by posting the lawyer's home address and a photograph of the residence online. Additionally, Southworth allegedly made harassing phone calls and messages to the lawyer's wife and son. Southworth pleaded not guilty in U.S. District Court and is being held without bond. If convicted, he could face a maximum of 12 years in federal prison across the three counts.
