Police Kill Suspect Jonhatan Anguiano After Shooting at Lodi McDonald's

Lodi police officers killed 29-year-old Jonhatan Anguiano after he shot and injured an employee at a local McDonald's on Monday morning. The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. at the West Lodi Avenue and Church Street location. Officers responded to a reported disturbance and entered the building to find an employee in stable condition after she was struck by gunfire. Corporal William Hinton of the Lodi Police Department stated that the shooting was an isolated incident with no threat to the public. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. While the motive for the shooting remains unknown, the San Joaquin County District Attorney's Office is leading the investigation. Nearby schools were briefly placed on lockdown during the police action. Witnesses in the drive-thru reported hearing four gunshots and described the tense atmosphere as the employee crouched down for cover.
