Sandra Suárez Pérez initiates a technical and legal review of contracts and administrative actions from the previous government.
Sandra Suárez Pérez, the director of Social Prosperity, announced a review of contracts, conventions, and administrative actions from the previous government. The review was accelerated after officials, labor unions, and control bodies identified situations requiring a more in-depth technical and legal examination. Suárez Pérez stated that the review identified doubtful and unjustified contracts and donations, some of which had concentrated execution during the presidential campaign period. The audit also includes approximately one billion pesos linked to trusts and conventions whose documentation, supports, and state of legalization or closure are being verified. Additionally, the director noted that several appointments made in provisional status were found to have potentially failed to fulfill the requirements. The Social Prosperity department established an interdisciplinary team to deepen the audits, establish the state of public resources committed, and check the norm fulfillment. The administration announced that the current process is in an inspection phase and does not yet constitute a determination of responsibility. Findings that may have disciplinary, fiscal, penal, or administrative implications will be remitted to the competent authorities for due process.
