President Vladimir Putin Inspects Miraculously Discovered Relics of Prince Dmitry Donskoy in Moscow Kremlin

President Vladimir Putin visited the Archangel Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin on August 20 to inspect the recently uncovered remains of Prince Dmitry Donskoy. The Russian Orthodox Church reported that the relics were found during renovation work and are almost completely preserved, with only the left heel bone missing. President Vladimir Putin described the discovery as miraculous and noted that it reinforces the foundations of Russian history. During the visit, the president took part in a prayer service for the Russian nation and the military. Vakhtang Kipshidze, a deputy head of the Synodal Department for Church-Society Relations, suggested that the relics should be sent to the combat zone to allow Orthodox servicemen to venerate them. The administration approved these plans, and the church intends to distribute parts of the relics to various churches. The exact location of the main remains remains to be decided.
